"Smoke" with "Shelter"

I got a chance to go to Gelerie Quynh on the opening day for Shelter (by Yuk King Tan). I didn't get difficulty to get there because I already know that place. There are so many people coming there as any Art Exhibition was taken place.

I didn't feel clear about the exhibition when receiving the invitation - I wondered if they are paintings, composition works or else. Then I decided to go as a way to enrich my art-seeing ability :)

I was surprised with the paintings I saw there, there is not much paint or colours, just sketches, with the main colour tone: black colour of smoke (this made her works strange and impressive). Some pictures were preprinted on canvas after being added some different materials to make it attractive and unique, and with different ways to express its meaning.

The exhibition was also related with composition - like the picture above - if you see it with such a close distance, you hardly see anything except for dots. But if you stand further, you can realise the text combined by the dots. Impressive, isn't it? That's the pic I took that you can see the text quite clear - if you visit the galerie and enjoy it yourself then you will find it more interesting - I took some seconds to realize actually.

Some pictures there i cannot understand but the thing I got there is, you need to pay attention to the very small details in the pictures. There are some that contain many details, some are simple and I just had a short time to enjoy them, but I have to say that they're beautiful, strange and meaningful. You should go to the galerie and enjoy them if you have time to do so. The exhibition is from November 28th to December 13
